2014_11_17 Kitchen

My journey into the Hebrew roots of the Faith has led me to start preparations for my first Pesach. In keeping with this, I am currently learning about leaven, what it is, what it is in, etc. So since I needed to go through the dry foods cabinet to find what all had leaven in it, I decided to go ahead and do my Spring clean/pest control in all the cabinets. What I found was just simply not cool…lol! The back of cabinets is an absolute disgrace! I can’t even imagine how it got that dirty back there!

So this week’s challenge is to get into those cabinets and other forgotten places in your kitchen and get it in order! Believe me, in the long run these places do really matter. I mentioned pest control earlier because I live in a rural area in an almost tropical climate, so bugs are serious business around here and our Spring is just around the corner. It is in all those little forgotten places that germs and bacteria grow and that pests are attracted to.

We have to remember that the kitchen is more than where food is prepared, it is where we nurture and nourish our family. It is where prayers go up for the health of those we are blessed to serve. It is where we create an atmosphere of love that is so powerful it can be tasted in the food. It is where we laugh, where we cry, where we gather strength to find the blessing in the third sink full of dishes of the day. That kind of place deserves the best care!

Make your kitchen into a place that you would be proud to serve the King out of, because within each of your beloved blessing lives the Spirit of the King. Each time you serve them, you serve Him {Matthew 25:35-45}. Proverbs 31:15 says, “She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.” Now I don’t know about you, but anything I get up before dark to do is of the utmost importance to me!

So come on ladies…grab a towel and some warm soapy water and meet me in the kitchen! The music is playing and the Spirit is moving…because let’s face it; cleaning is more fun when you’re dancing for Him! Let’s get to it!

I pray you strength and courage abundant precious ones! Shalom!~

Surrendered to Him~
