2014_06_08 Spirit

In this series we have already talked about setting priorities, learning when you are at your best for certain tasks, and setting and maintaining clear boundaries. In this final week we will be looking at learning to be flexible to the call of the Spirit at all times. Without this malleability we are subject becoming so rigid in our rules and routines that we lose track of what is really important just as the Pharisees did. Ruach HaKodesh {the Holy Spirit} keeps us in line with God’s Truth and reminds us that is it only by His Will that we accomplish any good work.

Plans are a wonderful and blessed thing and we should have one for every aspect of our lives. They are how we hold ourselves accountable; how we measure our progress and make sure we stay on track {Isaiah 32:8}. They keep us from becoming stagnant in growing and serving in our walk with Yeshua {Galatians 6:7-9}. But those plans must remain flexible and leave room for God to come in and form, refine, or flat out change them according to His Will and Purpose for us{Proverbs 16:9;19:21}. Our lives are bought and paid for by the Blood of the Lamb and we now live for Him {1 Corinthians 6:19-20}!

This is why it is so essential to stay in constant contact with Him, to seek His Face in everything that you do {Psalm 105:4}. He will teach you what the purpose of His rules are so that you can learn the true spirit behind them as opposed to just learning a set of do’s and don’ts {2 Corinthians 3:6}. He will show you how to write it on your heart {Proverbs 7:1-3}. But there are things you need to do to make sure that you are always in tune with Him:

1. Stay grounded in His Word daily and learn the sound of His Voice. {John 10:3-5}

2. Seek His Will before every decision no matter how small. Then wait and listen for a response. {Isaiah 65:24}

3.  Ask, “Will this glorify His Name?” before acting. {Colossians 3:17, 23-24}

Just these few steps can keep you flexible and malleable on the Potter’s wheel. You will be more in tune to when it is time to re-work your schedules and/or re-prioritize aspects of your life. You will be able to be more spontaneous, knowing that you are following His plan above all else. But most importantly, you will build an ever deepening intimacy with the Father through walking with Yeshua and the counsel of Ruach HaKodesh!

So I urge you…take this time to get to know Him and all He has done for you. Grow with Him and learn the deeper aspects of His Way! Let Him be your guide in the life He created just for you! I pray you enlightenment and growth beloved! Shalom!~

Surrendered to Him~
